Black Books are eldritch tomes of immense forbidden knowledge, created and scattered across Tamriel by Hermaeus Mora. Reading a Black Book transports the reader directly to Apocrypha, Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Oblivion, where they must navigate the endless, tentacle-filled library to reach the knowledge within and return to Nirn. The knowledge granted is powerful but always serves Hermaeus Mora’s agenda.
