Generate Characteristics

Choose Favored Characteristics

Each player chooses two favored characteristics (they must be different) before generating scores. Learning and ranking skills or talents governed by a favored characteristic, or advancing that characteristic, costs 75% of the usual XP (round down to the nearest multiple of 5).

Rolling Characteristic Scores

  1. Roll 2d10 seven times and assign each roll to one of your Characteristics (excluding Luck). Add each roll to the characteristic’s racial baseline.
  2. Roll 2d10, add 30, and assign the result to your Luck score. Luck cannot exceed 50 and cannot be advanced.
  3. With GM permission, you may reroll up to three of the seven non-Luck rolls after all rolls are completed but before assignment. New values are final.

Optional Rule - Point Buy Characteristics With GM permission, distribute 80 points amongst characteristics (not including Luck, which is still rolled). No more than 20 points may go to any one characteristic.
